DANHOSTEL Henne

Solfang, the youth and family hostel at Henne Strand (Beach), is a summer-only establishment which fits in nicely with the wide range of other accommodation possibilities – campsites, summer houses, hotels and guest houses.

We can offer accommodation for one night and upwards in family rooms or single-sex dormitories.

Henne Strand was developed as a holiday resort in the second half of the 20th century.  The hostel was built in 1935 and is 500 metres from the beach, in the centre of the resort.

Restaurants serving fish dishes, cafés and café/bars and reasonably priced pizzerias are all within a short walking distance. You will also find well-stocked shops selling the amber jewellery from the west coast, summer clothes, swimming costumes and toys etc.

The hostel has a kitchen for the use of guests and it also offers a buffet breakfast.  The local grocer’s shop is well-stocked and the mobile fishmonger stops by every second day. 

In summer, those travelling by train have the opportunity to take the taxibus between Henne Station and Henne Strand (9 kilometres in a taxi for the price of a normal ticket).
